We just bought a very retro home (think Brady Bunch)?
We love it..double oven, built in stove, dark beautiful cabinets, beautiful wood beams in the living room, paneling (well we got rid of that) but love the rest.
My only problem is the dining area. Its huge, eat in and very bright. BUT after we put our rather large dining table and our buffet in, we still have a den size area of space.
We don't know what to put there.
So no one suggests an office or craft area.......our home included a den, an office and two extra bedrooms we are looking to fill.
Any ideas besides the BIGGEST plant I can find?
i like the wet bar idea.
how about a big fish tank? or a cat tree if you have cats.
my husband suggests a side table. i asked him why you'd want a table in with a table and he said that it's where you put the serving dishes of food for people to put food on their plates. that way you have more table room since it's not full of bowls and casseroles and stuff. my husband should have been born 60 years ago but that's another story.
a small lounge area. like a comfy chair, small table and reading lamp. or two chairs and small table for cozy chats.
a small game area. not like for a pool table (unless the room is really big lol then it would be good) but like table shuffle board or a chess table or something 'dignified' lol. even just a board game table with four comfortable chairs.
