Bread Recipe Baking Powder

when you are baking bread do you need baking soda even if it doesnt call for it?

i am making one hundred loaves of bread. the recipe does not call for baking soda or powder so do i add them anyesy of just follow the recipe?

not if your recipe has yeast in it. If there is yeast (which makes the bread rise) in the recipe and you add baking soda, it will kill the yeast and the bread won't rise. Why not post the recipe and let us see it?
