Cheese Bread

cheese bread
Italian Bread , dipped in cheese and oil?

I used to go to this really authentic italian restaurant nearby that recently shut down, they had bread sticks that you could dip in their grated cheese covered in some kind of oil, does anyone know what kind of bread, cheese and oil is traditional in italy?

French loaf or Italian are equally good... if french I always toast it..

Pour extra virgin olive oil on a plate.... then sprinkle SHREDDED, not grated, parmesan cheese into the center... then you can add some herbs or other seasoning if you like... I usually use cracked pepper, pinch of dried oregano and pinch of dried basil, tiny pinch of salt..or you can use italian seasoning premix blend. It's good without the herbs but I like it better with.

you'll notice the shredded parmesan actually "melts" into the oil.

highly unhealthy, but very yummy...
