Is it safe to use oven cleaner on baking trays?

Hi, might be a daft question but am a bit paranoid lol.

Boyfriend cleaned our baking trays on sunday with some Mr Muscle oven cleaner and i cooked some dinner on it tonight, i put tin foil over it as i wasn't happy about my food touching any residue on it, but after taking the tray out i could still smell the oven cleaner on it.

Is it ok to use oven cleaner?

I use oven cleaner on most of my pans, it works. The reason why it smells of oven cleaner is because it wasn't properly washed and rinsed after he did it. Re-clean it.
