I had my galbladder removed..?
I had surgery a week ago and do power walking for an hour, my doctors told me I'll be sore for a month to do full exercising..as for eating I have an idea of foods to eat and avoid..like eat grilled, broiled, vegetables, salad (no dressing or little dressing), nothing fried, no chocolate, pizza without cheese, everything low-fat..but what other kind of stuff can i eat thats good, low-fat, and fits a low-calorie, high carb, low protein diet? im trying to lose 20 pounds by feb 14th so any recipes, foods, let me know..hopefully the recipes arent too pricey!
Avocado !! It is a good fat , you still need some fat in your diet. If you cook use cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. Fish is also very good, steamed or grilled. They provide essential fatty acids / omega 3
Low fat cottage cheese can be a very useful staple to your diet, just add in some veggies and use a low carb pasta sauce to make a type of veggie bake.
Coconut is good too. You may want to purchase a juicer and make yourself a fresh veggie juice daily as this will greatly help with liver function. Beetroot / cucumber / celery / apple is a good mix for liver and gall bladder function.
If i were you i would ask to speak to the hospitals dietitian. Usually when you have a procedure such as a gall bladder removal, you are able to access the dietitians advice for free. They will help you out with recipe ideas.
Good Luck !
