My lips, nose, mouth, etc. are always dry because of my job. Any tips?
I work at a wood fired pizza place. So I'm standing in front of a huge oven all day. It gets pretty hot and pretty dry in front of it. My lips are always chapped and my nose always dry. When I wake up in the morning I sometimes have blood-stained mucus in my throat. (I used to get this when I would smoke several butts in a night. I don't really smoke anymore.) I obviously try to moisturize and use chap stick but it doesn't really help and it's difficult to keep up with that 'cause I'm constantly moving and working.
Hey Shawn;
You definitely need to increase your hydration from the inside. Sounds to me like you are definitely dehydrated too. Increase your fluids to to 90 oz, the fire and heat from your job are taking a toll on sucking the water from your body.
Next use an over the counter facial moisturizer, like Oil of Olay and continue using lip protection as well. I recommend Burt's Bee's lip balm or Soft Lips.
Give this a try and I am positive you will find great results with increasing your hydration at the very least.
