Where can I get a huge load of firebricks for a brick oven?
I am thinking of building a brick oven and am in need of fire bricks. I do not know where to get them, and am seeking advice from everyone here. Also, if I can get them for cheap and in bulk it would be great. It is preferred if they are in the northern new jersey area or can ship anywhere in the USA. Thanks.
UPDATE- I really don't know how to use firebricks.com; I Don't Know what kind of bricks I need. THere's tones of types but I don't know which is which.
Also, craigslist has none for my area in New York/New Jersey so that is not an option. Local building places don't sell them either.
Firebricks.com . They claim to have been in business for nearly 100 years and supply a range of firebricks for various applications.
Before ordering new however, I would suggest you post ads on kijiji.com and craigslist.com. The ads are free and I've often been able to purchase some really oddball hardware via that media.
I just did a quick search on craigslist.com/los angeles and immediately located someone with 100 new firebricks for sale at $1.00 each. Check your city or nearby cities.
