Why a Pizza Stone is the Right Option to Bake your Pizza

A pizza stone is the right option to bake pizza. There are various types of pizzas, which are very tasty, spicy & delicious for eating. The tastes of pizzas is mostly depends upon its cooking process. It is really interesting & tasty when we eat hot pizza. Therefore, for cooking the pizza, the most important thing is microwave oven. However, sometimes various types of ovens do not give us the familiar & traditional flavor of pizza only because of its temperature. So if you want a delicious pizza always bake this pizza on the pizza stone.

When we bake the pizza on the pizza stone, that taste of pizza is really far more delicious. The terra cotta tiles of this pizza stone are useful to maintain the base layer crisp. On other side, when we bake pizza in the pizza pan, it maintain only soggy layer.

There are the various ranges of the price in the pizza stone. Therefore, we can get cheap as well as expensive pizza stone in the cookware store for preparing the pizza.

You also must have a paddle for transferring the pizza from hot stone to the backside of the pizza. Therefore, that makes pizza well crunchy & it will bake from both sides. The long handles of the paddles are more used by the pizza makers instead of paddles with short handles.

If you want to cook the pizza by using the pizza stone, then there are some instructions related to that cooking process.

Firstly, you have to put the pizza stone in the midst of the microwave oven. The heat that is essential for making the pizza should be 400 degrees & it should be bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Then you have to shake over pizza stone by using the lump meal. You have to shake over the paddle of the pizza stone openhandedly by taking use of the corn meal & then you have to put pizza bread on the paddle ahead of mixing toppings into it.

Now mix pizza toppings. You can take use of the nippy jolting motions to transfer the pizza from paddle to the pizza stone. At this moment you have to take care of your pizza, otherwise, there will be the spoil the pizza & you can see this pizza at the base of your oven or on the floor. You always remember one thing that you should always take use of paddle to take away the pizza when the crust becomes brown & cheese gets bubbly. Always do not in a hurry to take away the stone from microwave oven. You should have a patience of cooling of the pizza stone.

There are some precautionary instructions related to the pizza stone.

You always remember not to use soap on the pizza stone. You should not put the stone pizza on the hot surface of the microwave oven when your pizza stone is too cool to handle. After cleaning the surface of the pizza stone, you should use olive oil by spreading some spices on the pizza stone.

A pizza stone is the right option to bake pizza, oh yeah!

Simple Pizza Recipe For Kids

simple pizza recipe for kids
Can you suggest simple recipes that suits for dinner after a heavy day?

We both work till 7.00 in the evening. We hate dine out for many days because kids will spoil their health. So, me and my hubby run stright to kitchen to make sure a dinner before 8.00 in the evening (night??!!). Both us are not very good at choosing menus and finally land either in a poor food or a real grand one. Of course kids are too young to complain... We really need some good recipes for dinner. We are from Ohio. We even prefer Mexican, Indian, Thai food if thats easy to cook. Because Kids like little spicy food with curry sort of stuff. We prefer more on vegitarian food, because every second day we are in KFC / Pizza hut....... and add lots of chicken and meat to the food.

Suggest some Indian food also, I like them - but don know how to cook.

Thanks in advance.

Vegetarian and Indian:
Navratan Korma

This is an Indian vegetable korma with nuts, paneer cheese, and an adjustable list of vegetables. It is in a tomato-cream sauce as opposed to the usual yogurt based sauce. 'Navratan' means 'nine gems,' so choose nine of the vegetable, nuts, and paneer ingredients; you can leave out the elements you don't want to use, or add them all so it is 'ten gems' if you wish.

PREP TIME 10 Min
COOK TIME 25 Min

INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
1/3 cup mixed nuts (cashews, pistachios, almonds)
1 medium onion, grated
1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 cup water
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped fresh green beans
1/2 cup green peas
1 cup chopped potatoes
4 ounces paneer, cubed
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
salt to taste

DIRECTIONS
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place mixed nuts in the skillet, cook and stir until golden brown, and set aside. Stir onion into the skillet, and cook until tender. Mix in garlic paste and ginger paste, and cook 1 minute. Stir in tomato sauce, cayenne pepper, turmeric, coriander, and garam masala. Pour in water, and mix in raisins, carrots, green bell pepper, beans, peas, and potatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer 20 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
Heat remaining oil in a separate skillet over medium-high heat, and cook the paneer on both sides, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Place in a bowl with enough hot water to cover for about 2 minutes to soften, then stir into the skillet with the vegetables.
Stir milk and cream into the skillet with the vegetables and paneer. Bring to a boil, and continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

Creative Tips for Container Gardening and a Recipe

Whether we're turning over beds to get ready for warm weather veggies, sprinkling seeds or just potting up some pansies, gardening is one of our favorite ways to spend a weekend. We're sharing some tips from our cookbook, Farmers' Market Favorites...all about containers! And to enjoy that fresh produce, we've got a delicious recipe for Brushetta Pizza that's so easy to make.

You may not have the space (or the inclination!) for a big veggie patch or flower garden but everyone needs a little splash of sunshine in the warm months, right?

  • Auctions and barn sales turn up some of the best planters. Old gardening boots, watering cans, washtubs, enamelware pots & pans...even tea kettles and coffeepots!

  • Fill a galvanized minnow bucket with cheery sunflowers...a centerpiece that captures all the nostalgia of summertime.

  • Herbs are easy to grow, even indoors on a sunny windowsill! Fragrant and tasty, rosemary, oregano, savory, parsley, sage thyme or chives are delicious in soups and salads.

  • Give an old wheelbarrow a new use when you turn it into a movable garden. Fill it with pots of your favorite herbs, flowers, lettuce or carrots...how clever!

  • Lay a wooden ladder flat on the ground and fill the open spaces with gardening soil to create a clever raised bed! The small spaces are just right for growing herbs and lettuces.

  • After enjoying an orange or grapefruit for breakfast, don't toss out the hollowed-out fruit halves. Filled with potting soil, seeds and nice drink of water, these clever little starter pots can be planted directly in your garden!

  • No more trying to keep tomato plants upright in the garden! Plant pint-size cherry tomatoes (or even smaller varieties like Romas!) in sturdy hanging baskets filling with gardening soil. They'll grow beautifully hanging over the edges. Pinch back when they get too leggy and the shorter stalks will produce more fruit!

Bruschetta Pizza

10 roma tomatoes, chopped
5 to 6 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
13.8-oz. tube refrigerated pizza crust dough
1/2 cup pizza sauce
8-oz. pkg. shredded Italian-blend cheese
dried oregano to taste

In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, garlic, basil, onion, 1/4 cup oil, pepper, garlic salt and vinegar. Stir to blend; drain. Place pizza crust dough on an ungreased baking sheet. Spread with pizza sauce. Top with 1-1/2 to 2 cups tomato mixture. Sprinkle on cheese and oregano. Drizzle remaining oil over top. Bake according to pizza crust dough package directions. Serves 6.

Children's Cooking Classes Arrive at Casa de los Sabores, Oaxaca, Mexico

What better way to begin offering children's cooking classes than with pizza and mango smoothies.  The inaugural children's cooking lesson at Chef Pilar Cabrera's Casa de los Sabores, in Oaxaca, Mexico, imparted the basics of kitchen safety and hygiene, composting and recycling, and nutrition, all within a three-hour session. And at the same time, lead instructor Ninfa Raigosa infused the morning with helpful food preparation tips that even as adults we don't always learn early enough in our culinary lives. But best of all, it took place within the context of preparing recipes which are fun for children to make --- with the dreaded green salad snuck in at the end.

Genesis for Offering Children's Cooking Lessons in Oaxaca

The idea of offering cooking lessons for young boys and girls came to fruition as a result of two phenomena.  Firstly, often in the course of fielding inquiries for cooking classes from tourists visiting Oaxaca with their families, Chef Pilar would be asked whether or not children could attend.  Of course age has always been a factor, but often requests have had to be rejected so as to ensure that classes proceeded in an orderly fashion without undue disruption, for the benefit of the mainly adult aficionados of Oaxacan cuisine.

Secondly, many Oaxacans are at a loss for what to do with their children once school is out for summer vacation.  While certainly activities abound in Oaxaca, relative to what's available in larger urban centers, they're limited.  Why not offer a two-week cooking course in July?

And so this initial class held on May 1, 2010, was intended as a precursor to initially a summertime cooking course, and then classes during other holiday times throughout the year. For tourists traveling with children, timing should be perfect.  And for multiple families traveling together at any time of the year, this could be just what the pediatrician ordered.

Of course Pilar Cabrera's reputation as a national figure on the Mexican culinary scene has long been established through her "House of Flavors" cooking school and downtown Oaxaca restaurant La Olla, and more recently through her forays onto the international stage (food festivals in Toronto and San Antonio, with upcoming dates in Austin and Stratford).  She hand-picked Ninfa Cecilia Raigosa Paras to head up this new initiative for two reasons.  Firstly, Chef Ninfa arrives with a diversity of experience, including educational training (at the Rocatti Centro de Estudios Culinarios), in catering and banquets, at various restaurants, and in specialty bakeries (i.e. Deli Cupcakes and Dulce Nectar).  Secondly, and perhaps key, is Chef's Ninfa's uncanny ability to relate to children using her amiable personality and warm smile – and just like Pilar, she's bilingual.

The bonus for American and Canadian children is that with a mixed class of Mexican and foreign visitors, and bilingual instruction, the kids are bound to learn some basic kitchen and ingredient words in Spanish, if not through direct teaching, then certainly through osmosis.

The May 1, 2010, Cooking Class for Children at Casa de los Sabores, Oaxaca

Chefs Pilar and Ninfa were both at the helm of this frist class, attended by ten children of varying ages.  Most parents remained on site at the outset, to take photographs and to obtain first-hand assurance that their children would be comfortable in a class of predominantly unfamiliar faces.

In this type of learning environment the ice must initially be broken.  Here it was achieved by asking each child's name and promoting interaction between the children themselves, and with Ninfa and Pilar. The ingredients for each recipe were contained in a separate large, round colorful basket.  "Who knows why we use yeast?"  And then to reassure parents, "when we cut these mangos to make the smoothies, we won't be using sharp knives; but you should always be extra careful when using knives, and never, ever raise a knife to head level. Can someone tell me why?"

Recipe sheets are distributed.  Chef Ninfa goes through each recipe, pointing to the ingredients in each basket and briefly explaining how they will be used.

For the pizza dough segment, the group is divided into two teams, one learning to make the dough from scratch, and the other about kneading and rolling: "Always mix the dry ingredients first, and use your hands." And for the benefit of those who had grown up watching their abuelitas making tortillas: "Making pizza dough is similar to making tortillas; if it starts to stick, use more flour."  Hands-on classes tend to work best, especially so for children.

"Okay, anyone want a cookie?"  Three times in the course of the lesson, short breaks are encouraged so as to not overload information intake nor run the risk of boredom setting in. "There are plastic bottles of water over here, and a couple of marking pens so each of you can write your name so they don't get mixed up."

The children are given a choice of making large or medium crusts, by shaping the dough themselves, or choosing from the several small forms which are provided; hearts, mushrooms, trees, and squares, triangles, circles.  The sauce has been pre-mixed, but the children are encouraged to choose their toppings from selections of veggies, sliced meats, and even fresh basil.  "Did you know that a mushroom is actually a fungus?"

"Now let's all wash our hands again. But let's not forget to first clean off our work areas well, and put the organic waste in this bin, and the rest over there.  Does your neighborhood have recycling programs?"

"Attention everybody please; now while the pizza is in the oven we're going to make the mango smoothies. I'm going to teach you how to peel your mangos, safely, by carefully cutting four strips through the skin ... just like peeling a banana."  The children are encouraged to use every bit of pulp, right down to the pit.

"Here's the bowl with the mango cut up, and now we're going to add some pineapple, some orange juice, a bit of yoghurt .... and who knows about linseed and why we add little bit to the blender as well?" A brief discussion ensures about omegas and energy.

Smoothies are prepared and poured into plastic cups accompanied by straws and small decorative drink umbrellas.  "Taste how sweet it is; and you know, we didn't put in any sugar.  You can make your own smoothies using other kinds of fruit as well, such as watermelon and cantaloupe, and they'll taste just as fresh, flavorful and sweet, without any added sugar.  By the way, there's a bowl of strawberries over there if anyone wants a little snack."

The children are then asked to review their printed recipes for the salad.  Some had actually put check marks beside the pizza and smoothie ingredients as they were being used. A lesson ensues about the different types of lettuce, its general lack of taste, and hence the reason for using dressing:  "We always use oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, and today we're using balsamic vinegar and olive oil.  Has everyone tried this kind of vinegar?  Okay then, we'll each try a bit.  It'll be a bit sweet."

"Is it soya sauce," someone asks.  "It's delicious," another pipes in, while a third emphatically states he doesn't like it.

"Vinegar and oil have to be mixed together really well.  See the oil at the top; now watch."

Plates are passed out, and each child is encouraged to create his own salad by adding pre-cut vegetables and grated cheese to the organic lettuce.  The printed salad recipe sheet concludes with: "Taste, check the seasoning, and serve immediately."

The pizzas then are removed from the oven and allowed to cool; each child is encouraged to take what he made, as well as to sample from the larger pizzas.  The group sits around the large rectangular table, indulging in the fruits of their labor, while chatting and joking with their new-found friends.

Children's Cooking Classes in Oaxaca Provide Exposure to International Dishes

The summer, 2010, two week course will present participants with an opportunity to learn to prepare menus from different parts of the world, each day represented by the cuisine of a different country.  Subsequent series of classes will likely follow suit. Groups interested in single lessons will be able to choose from a selection of international menus, but there will inevitably be restrictions in terms of dishes requiring stove-top preparation, out of an abundance of caution.  According to Chef Pilar, "children's safety must remain the foremost consideration."

Indian Recipes Indian cooking To start off with an accolade

Indian cooking...mere words are not sufficient to express or rather draw out the diversity and the ethnicity rendered by all Indian regional cuisines to get our Indian cooking well acknowledged in the global arena. And I consider myself absolutely privileged to be relishing on this wonderful Indian cooking menu daily…cooking, experimenting and innovating on our old traditional Indian recipes and finally concocting something, hopefully palatable…not only for me but for my family as a whole…. Primarily influenced by our old conventional traditions, religion, socio-eco-cultural aspects and availability of resources, Indian cuisine has scores of tantalizing delicacies to offer…in fact to each Indian household to suit all individual palates. Such is the greatness of our Indian cuisine and thx to all those wonderful people who have used their imagination and creativity to provide us with a variety of lip-smacking Indian
recipes for us to devour.

And here I’d like to take you all for a petite rollercoaster ride to the amazing world of Indian cuisine, with a peep into the exotic Indian dishes, in general…. A diffident yet candid attempt from my part to introduce to you the vast range of delicacies Indian cuisine offers and its’ various perspectives…. A virtual look into the mass variety of Indian cooking, both North Indian and South Indian cuisine, from a hard-core foodie but an extremely simple and average cook (yes, an honest confession indeed)…. :-) A mild attempt to parse the various tastes and aromatic cuisine styles of our country that evidently is subject to change with respect to region, culture and customs…. To be precise, this is infact a truly modest attempt to recreate the magic of “Unity in diversity” in the backdrop of Indian cuisine.

As known, our Indian cooking has loads of recipes to offer for every single dish. And since I’d only be sketching out the dishes and a few personal favourite recipes thereof, I might not be able to provide you with the exact recipe you’d be looking for. In such an instance, if you indeed would want me to share recipes with you that have not been described, do let me know and I shall only be happy to post it consequently (and of course, they’d be authentic or at least I’d try to make them so) and share our thoughts on the same.

And at this juncture, I’d really like to thank pachakam.com and the crew behind it for having given me an opening to share my recipe experiments and experiences from my small kitchen to the world at large. And at this point, I’d also like to mention that it’s really saddening to see me as the only blogger blogging away in this massive recipe site. I’d really appreciate if more and more readers and recipe authors would come forward, pen their thoughts on their secret and
favourite recipes, and give me company, as there’s nothing worse than utter solitude in this world. It really hurts!!! :-( After all, recipes are for sharing; sharing not only food and tastes…but love and thoughts…love not only to food but also to humanity as well…. So, what better place to start sharing your love than a complete cookery site…. And of course, not before giving another full kudos to our own Indian cooking as well.

So, on that note, welcome to the world of Indian cooking and mouthwatering naadan delicacies!!!!

7 Tips You Can Do to Make Your Pizza Business More Lucrative and Attractive

Running a pizza place is not an easy task. Especially with the presence of many other pizza shops in your area, you might get drowned out by your competition. You might want to try these ideas to improve the profitability and attractiveness of your pizza business:

Give your restaurant a one-of-a-kind theme

If you want to make your pizza shop appealing to people, you should match the decor with a unique theme and give the shop a name that is in relevant to the theme. You could draw your theme from the location of your shop, such as Pizza Lake Tahoe, and then have your shop's decorations, furnishings and food follow that theme. Some creative themes to consider could be navy pizza, captain's pizza or other profession-based themes.

Create new theme-related menus

Increase the excitement at your pizza shop by making your food consistent with your theme. For instance, if your pizza follows an international theme, you can include pizza that are Chinese-flavored, Mexican-flavored and other international specialties. This will allow you to give your customers the chance to try a wide variety of pizza flavors and also cater to varied tastes.

Think of something unique as a specialty

Your pizza patrons may be unsatisfied if your specialty pizza menu becomes common. Make them happy by adding a variety to your specialty and making it more unique. You can offer perks on your menu like more cheese or additional toppings.

Allow children customers to make their own pizza

Transform your pizza shop into an exciting place by giving your customers the freedom to make their own pizza. Children, in particular, will be thrilled to be able to choose their own toppings and to use it to make something different. Prepare the dough and cover it with tomato sauce, then encourage your customers and their children to add your prepared toppings to the pizza, personalizing the pizza and making the dining experience more fun.

Offer pizza meals that are cheaper

If you operate a quick serve pizza restaurant, you can try to offer more affordable pizza meals. Lots of people would love to eat pizza together with a lot of other food combinations at a reasonable cost. This way, they do not need to order a whole pizza, a full order of chicken, and more, which they cannot consume by themselves; instead, they can get what they want to eat in single-serve portions at a great price.

Offer an express counter for take-out orders

You can better serve customers who don't have time to wait by having an express counter devoted to takeout orders. Have a display of pre-cooked pizzas at your express counter that customers can choose from and take home immediately without having to wait for an order. This idea is fantastic if the store is in a busy area that is full of people who prefer to bring the food they order with them.

Serve sliced pizza

Selling pizza in individual slices is a good idea, be it for dine-in or take-out. Your customers will be given more choices to choose from aside from just the usual pizza sizes. To avoid having too many leftovers at the end of the day, you may choose to offer slices from the pizza choices that are more saleable.

You can consider business expansion if you think that your pizza shop is ready and is becoming stable.

Younger children can do this with help and older kids can do this on their own. It is so simple that if you get a sandwich grill and keep ingredients in the fridge, your teenagers can do this for a snack after school.
Your kids will love this and mom gets a break. This is great for an activity and dinner.

Food Network Recipes

food network recipes
Have you tried any recipes from the Food Network? Which show/s?

So far I've made Paula Deen's Red Velvet Cupcakes, Giada's Butternut Squash Lasagna, Jamie Oliver's Pappardelle w/ Leeks and a few others.
Have you tried any of the recipes based on the shows? Which ones? Which show is your favorite? Least favorite?
You're right...it is expensive and sometimes hard to get all of the ingredients. I find Farmer's Markets to be the BEST source of inexpensive cheeses and veggies. I LOVE Jamie at Home and Everyday Italian. Barefoot Contessa is great too. Paula Deen...only for desserts and appetizers. I'm a California girl and sometimes the Southern dishes just don't translate well out here!!!

I've made Tyler Florences ultimate cheesecake and let me tell you....its a definite KEEPER in my home! I dont even like cheesecake, but this one is decadent. I've also made several of Barefoot Contessa's recipes. She has a really good one for roasted chicken where you stick 2 lemon halves and lots of garlic bulbs inside the chicken along with slices of bacon on top. This is the only way we roast chicken in our home now, but we use turkey bacon to cut the fat a lil bit....deeeelish!

Recipe For A Happy Marriage. The Main Ingredient

Every marriage is unique, and therefore each recipe for a happy marriage will differ slightly from other ones. Just like not everyone likes the same cake recipe or pizza toppings, it is unattainable to give one recipe for each and every marriage .

Some married couples like to be together 24/7. Others like to take time out to be with themselves. Some people may constantly say thank you to each other, even the slightest little gesture, while other couples may not be able to express such emotion due to fear or being uncomfortable. I believe though, that one of the major elements in EVERY flourishing marriage, is the act of forgiveness. Just like a pencil has an eraser on top to rub out mistakes, all people make mistakes. No one is flawless and it is not fair for anyone to hope as much. If you never learn how to forgive, you will never be happy with your spouse.

It can be really hard to forgive someone is when they do not truly regret the thing that they have done.

In this article, I will you will learn a basic technique you can use to help your partner give up their pride and be sincerely apologetic so that you can work on restoring your marriage to your previous happy state.

1. Before you start discussing the matter with your spouse, work out in your mind what it is that really bothers you about your husband or wife's behavior. Do you know what inner thoughts you are experiencing? For example, if your husband forgot your anniversary, is it the fact that you did not get any flowers to put on your dining room table that is troubling you, or that you feel unappreciated?

2. Once you understand what it is that is bothering you, tell your husband or wife as directly as you can. Make comments like "You said you would phone me when you werent' busy and you didn't." or "I was so looking forward to supper every day after work this week but it wasn't quite ready whenever I arrived home."

3. After you have said that and before they reply, continue explaining how this made you feel by saying something like "...and I couldn't help feeling not loved, that you really don't appreciate being married to me, or you care more about taking care of the kids than you do about helping me out." Explain how it made you feel insignificant or like a second class citizen, or even worthless, depending on the extent of the issue. It is Very important to begin by saying, "and I couldn't help to think or feel" a phrase which indicates that it is your interpretation of what happened and not a solid fact, just your assestment.

4. After you have fully explained how you feel, let them describe what happened and why they missed your important date, forgot to pick up your mother at the airport, or whatever happened. Listen very closely to what they have to say. If it sounds like they are truly regretful, then accept their apology and move on. If they sound like they are just looking to get out of the uncomfortable predicament, then don't be tricked into acepting their apology but try to talk about it with them and have an understanding of where they are coming from as not to dwell on things and build a grudge.

To forgive is one of the most essential ingredients for having a happy marriage . It is much less difficult to forgive your husband or wife if he or she shows regret. If you explain to them that you are not certain that they definitely meant for you to feel the way that you did and pay attention to their take of why they did and what they did, keeping an open mind, you will find it much easier for you to forgive them and this is an crucial way to keep your marriage a happy one.

The Best Pizza Recipe In The World

the best pizza recipe in the world
Do you have a recipe for the best vegan pizza crust in the world?

It has to be a thin, crispy, St. Louis-style crust.
Well, it's well and good for you to inform me about the vegan-status of most pizza crusts but it's not providing me a good recipe. I was hoping someone had a recipe they have used and found it to be delicious.
These are some really terrible answers tonight. What is the flapjack thing - it doesn't even make sense!
I'm one more stupid answer away from just deleting this question.

Try this one. It's great. I make it all the time.

The toppings aren't vegan obviously but the crust is amazing.

homemade pizza recipe for kids
What are some recipes that kids can make?

I am looking for some easy and fun things for a group of kids to make. To give you some background, this is for a group of kids in a summer camp. In the past we have made: pizza on an english muffin, homemade ice cream, "dirt", and banana pudding. Any other suggestions for future recipes?
Smoothies is a good idea!!! But i am also looking for something that is not sweets

Fish in the River

SERVES 2

* 2 celery ribs, washed and trimmed
* 1/4 cup cream cheese or cheese spread, softened
* 12 goldfish crackers

1. Fill prepared celery stalks with your choice of cream cheese or cheese spread.
2. Add the goldfish crackers on top of cream cheese or cheese spread to look like fish swimming.
3. For fun, you could always use a flavored cream cheese or add something to it for your choice of flavors. To make it even more fun, try tinting the cream cheese with a little blue food coloring to make it look like water.
4. Enjoy!

1/2 tbsp. butter or margarine

Pizza Recipes For Children

pizza recipes for children
I'll go crazy if I have to eat one more hot dog, chicken nugget, fish stick, or cardboard pizza! Can you help?

My kids' tastes have backed me into this corner, and I'm determined to fight back. But what can you do when they turn up their noses and simply refuse to eat anything new? I've gone down the path of least resistance until now, but no more. Do you have any ideas for dinner that go over well with children? I prefer if they are somewhat simple to make, have big kid appeal, and nutritious is an obvious plus. Please include recipe unless it's self-explanatory.

Thanks!
I love the IDIOTS who say "let them go hungry." Spoken like a bunch of ignorant fools who DON'T have children! Guess what? That's EXACTLY what they do! They skip dinner and wait for breakfast the next day. Yeah, THAT'S a healthy alternative.

If you DON'T have an answer to a question, just don't bother answering. Your ignorance has no place among helpful, honest answers.

Fruit with a small side of whipped cream.
Green veggies with shredded cheese. (cheese makes everything better- trust me).

Baked Chicken- cut it in strips and give them dipping sauces.

Shrimp with shrimp sauce.

Basically anything you need to dip.

Let them make their own taco salads.

Try giving them poppy seed dressing on salads instead of ranch. It's sweet and taste like a dessert. also, instead of croutons let them crunch a few tortilla chips on top of their salad. My kids love that.

Cut up veggies and have a fresh veggie tray in the fridge at all times with various dips. Put it on the table with dinner each night.

Fettuccine Alfredo has always been a hit- something diff than spaghetti constantly.

Quesedillas. Just make the beef (or soy for vegetarians) , add taco sauce.. then put it on the soft tortilla shell, add shredded cheese and some small bits of onion and peppers and wrap it up and bake till its crunchy. Give them dipping choices.

My kids love chicken casserole. (Egg noodles, chicken chunks, can of cream of celery and one of mushroom, bit of milk, shredded cheese and a bag of cooked mixed veggies).

Loaded Baked potatoes. Let them add what they want (broccoli, cheese, sour cream, mixed veggies, dried fruit..)

Make snack trays for lunch. (cubed cheese with mini pepperoni, apples with pb, veggies with dip, mini turkey sandwiches etc).

Pizza Types

pizza types
math help pleeeease! Carlins Pizza House offers 3 kinds of salad, 15 kinds of pizza and 4 types of desert.?

How many different three course meals can be ordered?

I
The Answer is 180. Since there are 15 pizza choices, you multiply 15x3, then, since there's 4 choices of dessert, you multiply the product of 15x3 by 4. 15x3=45, and 45x4=180.

Bread Baking Terms

bread baking terms
How much is 5/16 ounces of yeast in terms of baking bread?

5/16oz of yeast is just slightly more than 1 packet=1/4 oz. You can just use the packet and allow more time for the rise.
