Cooking Pizza at home..........?
ive made pizza a bunch of times in my kitchen oven and in a brick oven. nothing compares to a pizza cooked in a brick oven. my question is how can i get close to the same results a brick oven makes with my kitchen oven. ive tried many things and each time im able to make it better but its still not close enough. so how can i make that beautiful thin pizza with the bubbles in thedough and all that. i know how to make the dough and sauce and everything and it always comes out perfect in the brick oven for me, what do i do in my oven to get similar results?
One of the geniuss said to season the stone, Do not do it or your stone will smoke up the kitchen all the time. Another genius said pizza ovens get to 500° and your stove does not. Home stoves get to 550° which is the same as pizza ovens. 2 Villages cannot find their Idiots because they're here.
Pizza stone is a must. You can also use a few Terracotta floor tiles and they're cheaper. Do not treat with anything, Pizza store don't.
Here's my trick, turn on oven to 550°. Do not put the pizza in for at least 45 minutes after the oven reaches 550°. If you cook 2 pizzas you will notice that the 2nd one is better. Do not open the oven every few minutes, the heat escapes.
