i want to make a pizza stone out of clay and glaze it. is it ok to cook a pizza on it in the oven.?

i want to make a cooking stone out of clay but i don't know if it is OK to cook things on it. it could be toxic since i will be glazeing it.

I would be careful of the kind of glaze you plan to use. If I am not mistaken many contain lead. You can but food safe glazes. Read the directions to see if it can be used for baking.
