NEC MAJOR violations?
i am working at an old campground store/showers/pizza kitchens as a clerk and cook. two times a day i have to reset breaker for oven(it arc bad when i do this) the ovens are each supposedly on their own dedicated 30 amp ckt and are just 120v pizza cookers. in the utility rooms and attic, no box has a cover and almost every single one is exceeding boxfill, not to mention the one in the soaking wet utility closet by the leaking (dripping)well water supply line. free air splces. live wires just cut and even extension cords used in place of romex. if i had the time i could easily count 1000 code violations. what should i do about this stupid building i am forced to work in?(oh, and the ac is out, so it gets up to 110 degrees on a 90 degree day) MY WORK IS CHEAP, how can i get them to fix this sh*t? is it usual for electricians to commercially use romex for everything and to use 30 amp breakers for lighting?
Call your local OSHA or state inspection area and report the code violations. They are potentially deadly conditions. Do not expect them to do anything in a hurry. They are understaffed as bad as everyone else.
