My oven won't stop smelling?

k, my partner decided to leave a plastic pizza cutter in the oven whilst she cooked something.... But not only did she leave the cutter in there she burnt the food as well. (obviously not placing blame here lol)

So obviously this caused the whole house to smell really bad of smoke & burnt materials for a whole week, after the first week the smell started to disappear.

Now every time we use the oven even for half hour it fills the house with the same horrible smell even tho i've thoroughly cleaned the oven with really good oven cleaner!!

Any suggestions or answers to this problem would b appreciated as i cant really afford to buy a new cooker this close to xmas.

Cheers!

There is probably still plastic somewhere in there. Maybe some dripped into an area you haven't reached to clean (check under any area where there are holes) or if you pried or wiped off the melted plastic there may still be a thin coating of it which heats and smells when you heat the oven. When the oven is cool feel for a difference in texture between the area where the plastic melted and other surfaces. If it feels smoother or more pitted you may have found the area. Then call the manufacturer of your oven (or visit a home improvement store) for suggestions on removing the plastic safely.
