Homemade White Bread Recipe

Why does my homemade banana nut bread turn out darker inside than everyone else's?

I use a traditional banana nut bread recipe... white flour.. white sugar.. butter.. eggs.. baking soda, salt, vanilla and bananas. Yet it always looks darker inside than eveyone else's. Any Ideas why?


It's possible that you perhaps leave your bananas until they are over-ripe? Maybe others use bananas not as ripe as yours are.

BUT! On the bright side, the more over-ripe your bananas are, the better tasting the bread will be.
