Recipe For Bread Making

I'm making bread and the recipe calls for 3 TBS of butter, should I use applesauce or oil instead?

What is better butter, oil or applesauce?? What does it do


Butter or some kind of fat is necessary for good tasting yeast bread. Oil would do basically the same thing but with less flavor and the texture of your bread would be somewhat different. The only reason one would use applesauce is to reduce the fat content. Namely, people on a diet. My suggestion is to use the butter. You're making me hungry.
