Pumpkin Bread

looking for a recipe for some time of butter spread to top chocolate chip pumpkin bread?

I'm having a lovely brunch tomorrow and am making pumpkin bread and was looking to have a bit fancier topping than just butter. Any ideas? I might try pumpkin butter, but I was thinking maybe a buttery cinnoman type spread might be even better.


Whipped Orange Butter

This lightly sweetened whipped orange butter is wonderful served as a spread for quick bread, muffins, waffles, or pancakes.

Ingredients:
•6 tablespoons butter, softened
•1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
•zest of 1 orange
•1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
•dash cinnamon, optional

Preparation:
Combine ingredients in a small bowl and beat with a mixer with a whisk attachment or by hand until well blended. Refrigerate until serving time. This is delicious served with quick breads, biscuits, pancakes and waffles, or muffins.
Makes about 1/2 cup.




Orange Honey Butter

"This is a lightly sweetened butter that goes great on biscuits!! If you want yours sweeter, just add a little more honey."

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon orange zest

DIRECTIONS:
In a small bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy. Mix in honey and orange zest.





Southern Style Honey Butter

"This butter is HEAVENLY on biscuits! Great for hearty breakfasts and my favorite, breakfast for dinner!"

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup softened butter
2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
5 tablespoons honey, or to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Place the butter, milk, and honey into a food processor or blender. Process until the mixture is smooth and has turned a light cream color. Refrigerate until ready to serve.




Honey Butter

"Honey butter is very good on homemade white bread. I ate and made this many times as a girl. You may also use peanut butter instead of butter. Delicious!"

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup honey

DIRECTIONS:
Place butter in a small bowl. Gradually add honey, beating constantly, until desired thickness is attained.




Cinnamon Honey Butter

"This is a creamy honey-cinnamon treat, and is absolutely wonderful on toast, bagels, muffins, pancakes, waffles."

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:
1.In a medium bowl, combine butter, confectioners' sugar honey and cinnamon. Beat until light and fluffy.




Maple Butter

"This sweet and creamy butter is great on sweet potatoes, waffles, and French toast. This butter is the only way I can get my husband to eat sweet potatoes!"

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

DIRECTIONS:
In a medium bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice until well blended. Chill in the refrigerator, for about 30 minutes. Form into a roll using waxed paper and store wrapped. It can be frozen for later at this point if desired.
