Do you make homemade pancake syrup?
We live in New England...the trees in our yard are sugar maples, and give us sap which we boil to make pancake syrup. We also grow our own vegetables, ferment our own wine from grapejuice, and bake our own bread. We also make homemade liquors that are expensive to buy but cost almost nothing to make.
Does this sound like something you do? Or would want to do?
It is a simple pleasure of life, I would say. It costs nothing to make your own pancake syrup...it just takes your time. Nature provides the raw materials.
I've never had homemade syrup but it sounds like it would be good. I'm a big fan of homemade/homegrown stuff (vegetables, homemade wine, etc.) so if given the chance I would make homemade syrup.
