I need receipe for oven baked chicken to taste as good as outdoor bbq?
I run a catering company out of my house and it is too cold to grill outdoors. We just got an order for bbq chicken. How can I do it in the oven and have it taste as if it was done outdoors?
the answer above me is correct, i've tried to do this for years and perfected it. You cook it at 450 with salt, pepper, and garlic. After 45 minutes take out the chicken and put a few tblspoons of liquid smoke on the chicken and baste with bbq sauce, cook for another 15-20 minutes.
That's as close as you can come to indoor bbq chicken. Remember it's not at all close to the real crisp chicken you get on a bbq grill but it's as close as you'll get.
