Making bread with simple, basic ingredients.?
Is it possible to make bread with just cinnamon, water, milk, eggs, flour, sugar and/or baking soda, and NOTHING else??
I'm trying to find a way to make muffins but unfortunately I need a nice easy way to do it.... I don't have access to all these stupid crazy things that all the online recipes I looked at seem to require, like yeast, baking powder, and all that dumb crap...
I've done it without yeast and baking powder and stuff before, do NOT tell me it's not possible, I used to have a banana bread recipe that worked perfectly without that other shit but unfortunately I lost it....
I forgot to include butter in that list as well.
You can make scones, here is a recipe:
300 g flour
60 g Sugar
75g Butter
125 ml Cream (or milk)
2 Eggs
60 g Raisins (optional)
Sift the dry ingredients together, cut in the butter until pea sized pieces. Mix Cream and eggs together. Add raisins and liquid to dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Knead 2 or 3 times roll out to 2 cm thick. Cut into desired shape and place on baking sheet lined with parchment and brush with egg wash. Bake at 170C (325 F) for 20 to 25 minutes.
Note: You can add lavender or any spice to suit your preferences.
