is a wood fire pizza oven hot enough to use as a kiln?
will a wood fire pizza oven be hot enough to fire clay in?
no, they are supposed to get up to 800F, which is not hot enough, even low fire clays need about 1800F (which in turn would be too hot for pizza....).
The other problem is the way of heating them. You heat the bricks by putting the fire inside the oven, then remove the ashes and put the pizza in. If you fire ceramics it is important to heat them up slowly, otherwise they are likely to break. If you shove unfired ceramics directly into 800F, they are only going to survive if they are really absolutely dry.
