pizza oven thermostat
My gas oven does not heat up to my desired temperature.?

My gas oven's ingiter glows red, then burners burns...after a couple minutes, it turns off, then in about 5 secs it goes back on for about 5 secs, then off, on, off on, etc etc etc. It never reaches the desired temp, no matter what I have the oven set too. Last week the oven took 30 minutes to preheat to 425. Yesterday, I had a pizza in the oven for 25 minutes at "400" and the cheese never even melted!!! It is my thermostat? Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

Sounds like you have a bad thermocouple (thermostat sensor). You need your Gas service person to check it out and replace it. you don't want to mess with gas if you don't know what's going on.
