help! grocery shopping, meal ideas?
Hi I recently moved to college and now I’m in my own apartment, so I can cook. Last year I felt like I ate the same thing all the time… sandwiches, pizza rolls, and spaghetti. Or variations of burnt chicken. And hamburger/chicken helpers. I’m getting ready to go to the store and I’m trying to make a grocery list – I want to try some new recipes. Not complicated or hard, just simples, quick things that aren’t going to take all day, like spaghetti haha. Any suggestions? chicken is basically the only meat I eat. I don’t eat hamburger very often. I hate Mexican food. I do like turkey. I don’t like seafood.
also, i love roast and i know how to make it. the last time i made roast, i used half of it and froze the other half. i was wondering, do i need to thaw the other half before i cook it in the crock pot all day, or is it ok to just put it in the crock pot all day? (Also, is there any chance it could have gone bad in 6 months?)
thanks for your time!!
Here is one of my favorites and it is really easy to prepare.
Pizza Potatoes
1 pkg. Betty Crocker scalloped potatoes
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 t. oregano leaves
1 pkg. (4 oz.) sliced pepperoni
1 pkg. (4 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
Heat oven to 400 F. Empty potato slices and packet of seasoned sauce mix (in potato box) into ungreased 2 qt. casserole dish. In a sauce pan, heat tomatoes, water and oregano to boiling. Stir into casserole dish. Arrange pepperoni slices on top and sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered 35-45 mins. Serves 4.
