Ever thought about the factory that makes Communion wafers?
That would have to be a hell of a job. Sitting there all day stamping out the body of Christ, from a ball of flour and water.
I mean, really... that sort of puts things in perspective a bit, doesn't it? Some mimimum-wage worker mixing up the same ingredients as Wonder Bread, down the street, baking it in an industrial oven, then stamping out the shape on a conveyer belt...
Not that I ever put any stock in Communion anyway, but that sort of takes the mysticism out of the Jesus crackers, doesn't it?
Somehow I can also picture those guys in the breakroom. You know they forget their lunch sometimes, and instead just subsist on a bowl of Jesus crackers, with some lefover salsa in the fridge.
It's sad, because you know it's true...

AAHAHA. You're terrific! :)
I remember when I was "practicing" for my first communion, they passed out little sandwich bags full of christ crackers so we could practice our cannibalism at home with mom and dad...I thought they were yummy, so before I left the church I swiped 3 more bags to take home with me. I just may have made baby jesus cry.
